After quite a lot of movement over the past few weeks, our tagged birds are beginning to reach their winter destinations. Both Maysa and Tesfaye are in Pakistan, a few tens of miles apart, and it will be interesting to see whether or not they remain in this area or move on to northern India.

Kyril, unfortunately, has not been heard of since the 28th of October, so his fate is unknown – hopefully, his tag has failed or fallen off and been destroyed, and he is still on his way south. Unless we are extremely lucky and someone sees him and can make out his rings, however, we will probably never know.
Ajaz is still moving around on the Turkey/Syria border, but we expect him to head further south soon.

Vyan is in the north-western corner of Saudi Arabia, Canan further north-east, and the remaining birds, Shirin, Sanjar and Nikoo are now all in Sudan.
